Alphabet group companies in Dublin have paid nearly €10bn in dividends to their US parents in the past two years. Much like the hiring spree that preceded them, they were part of “a different economic reality”.
Alphabet bookies in the northwest are said to have racked up arrears of nearly €40,000 for a live racing feed service. Now their owners are being sued in the big business Commercial Court for copyright infringement.
