As Irish entrepreneurs go, Maurice Neligan, the founder of eCharging company Jolt Energy, falls largely under the radar. It is probably because the 59-year-old from Greystones, Co Wicklow left Ireland for Germany in the 1990s after studying economics and business at UCD to take a job with technology conglomerate Siemens and never really returned. Germany, Munich specifically, remains his base. Further stints in senior management with automotive giants Continental and Volkswagen followed before Neligan decided to branch out into e-mobility.
