Construction work on 363 units destined for social housing has been reduced significantly as the construction company building them is insolvent and only a skeletal crew remain on site, the High Court heard today. Petitioning the court to appoint an interim examiner to Blacklough Construction Ltd, whose registered office is in Greenogue Business Park Rathcoole, Dublin, barrister Ross Gorman said it would never have entered into fixed-priced contracts for the social housing developments if it could have foreseen the increase in building costs, which have risen dramatically as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine.  Blacklough,…
