Paul Mulvaney, the group managing director of The Irish Times, is set to leave the newspaper publisher some 14 months after being appointed to the role. Mulvaney, who joined The Irish Times from the ESB, is set to be replaced by Deirdre Veldon, the current deputy editor of The Irish Times newspaper. Veldon has served on the newspaper’s board since 2017. Mulvaney joined the publisher of The Irish Times and The Irish Examiner from ESB, where he was a member of the ESB executive management team.
