In a tweet on December 5, the Guardian columnist Owen Jones referred to Leo Varadkar as “an obnoxious right-wing politician who should be vilified for his catastrophic policies”. As several Irish tweeters among his 1m followers quickly pointed out, this comment illustrated just how out of touch Jones is.
