In December 2019, the FAI met for a reconvened AGM which also served as a cathartic release after the years when the gatherings were severely controlled. At the City West Hotel on that afternoon, delegates rounded on everyone, including themselves, called for a public apology, resisted calls for a public apology, and generally gave a sense of an organisation trying to find itself after a traumatic experience.
