Luke Mooney knows the airline industry. A chartered accountant by profession who spent many years in investment banking and corporate finance, he was chairman of the nascent CityJet from 1992 until 1995. The experience left a mark. He became aware, to use his own words, that “flight revenue performance data was inadequate and too slow to inform commercial decision-making by airline management”.
