Belfast-based property developer Patrick Kearney has agreed to strike out his multimillion-euro secret profits suit against Davy stockbrokers and 16 of its former employees. The businessman had sued the broker in connection with a settlement he had reached with it over the €5.3 million sale of his Anglo Irish Bank bonds to a consortium of Davy staff in 2014. However, the Commercial Court was informed this morning that a deal had been reached between the businessman and the defendants – bar former Davy executive Tony O’Connor – over the weekend and Kearney was withdrawing his multimillion damages suit.
