Covid vaccine maker Moderna has launched a lawsuit in Ireland against pharmaceutical giant Pfizer alleging that its rival infringed its patents in the making of the mRNA vaccine, Comirnaty. The infringement action, brought by the biotechnology firm against Pfizer Inc, its Irish subsidiaries, CP Pharmaceuticals International, and BioNtech, was fast-tracked into the commercial division of the High Court on Monday. Similar proceedings have already been issued in the United States, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
