Property tycoon Paddy McKillen was in Japan when his PA texted him late on April 13, 2022, with news that two long-standing business associates had been suspended from building projects at the exclusive Maybourne hotel group, owned by members of the Qatari-royal family. Screenshots of an “urgent” email attachment, marked for McKillen’s attention, showed that Ronnie Delany and Frank Sinton were to be denied access to the Berkeley Hotel and the Emory Hotel site in London’s Knightsbridge and the Maybourne Riviera in France while the group “look into a number of matters”.
