Geraldine Ruane, the chief executive of the RDS, is leaving the society just a month after announcing a €50 million plan to regenerate part of its grounds as a new multi-purpose venue. Ruane, who was appointed in October 2020 to lead the RDS, did not respond to a request for comment. The RDS declined to comment on the status of its chief executive, who is highly respected both in the private and public sector.
