The developer of a €50 million “iconic” office building in Dublin city centre was poised to sue its former contractor in a negligence suit over allegedly defective concrete, court filings show. Damages of around €9 million are currently being sought in a High Court action brought by KC Capital Property Group Ltd against the concrete supplier Keegan Quarries Ltd, over claims ready-mix concrete delivered to the building site for use in the basement walls and ground floor was “under-strength” and did not meet with specified and approved standards.
