A group of companies run by Irish nationals, which is part of a global cybersecurity and cyberwarfare business alliance, is distributing highly sophisticated mobile phone interception technology, an investigation by The Currency has found. Sovereign Systems’ website includes a 2019 announcement for its participation in a security trade show telling potential visitors: “… IMSI catchers, Passive 2G Intercept, ‘zero click’ 3G Intercept, MITM [man in the middle] and Geo-Location solutions, we have the solution to your intelligence gathering requirements”, followed by the company’s four international locations including “Dublin, Ireland”.
