The deal took place in January 2021. International life science equipment group LGC Science bought Tipperary medical devices firm Technopath Clinical Diagnostics Holdings (TCD) for more than €100 million. At the time, LGC announced its excitement at the acquisition, noting TCD’s state-of-the-art facility in Ballina and the fact its quality control products were used “by leading laboratories in over 120 countries globally”.
