The accountancy firm PWC has identified a number of serious financial issues in the Peter McVerry Trust that threaten the future of one of Ireland’s best-known homeless and housing charities.  PWC completed its draft report on September 14, 2023, and the Department of Housing has been alerted of the solvency fears raised by PWC among other concerns about its finances.  In a draft report, prepared over four weeks, PWC states that the Peter McVerry Trust is running out of cash and that it will require exceptional funding urgently to continue as a going concern for the next 12 months.  Matters…
