As a long awaited government-backed fertility scheme kicks off this month, eight clinics in Ireland have been approved to provide fertility treatments to people who meet the criteria. These are: BeaconCare Fertility, First IVF, Merrion Fertility Clinic, ReproMed Dublin, ReproMed Galway, Sims IVF, Thérapie Fertility and the Waterstone Clinic. The publicly-funded scheme provides for one cycle of IVF (in-vitro fertilisation), or one cycle of ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) for women who have not been unsuccessful with IVF previously, who are under 40 and who have a BMI lower than 29.9.
