Nearform, the fast-growing Waterford software developer, has acquired Formidable, a global design and engineering consultancy founded in Seattle, Washington. The acquisition follows Nearform receiving a multimillion-euro investment from Columbia Capital in December 2020. Following the transaction Nearform will employ 400 people as it brings almost 100 more direct employees into its business from Formidable, a highly regarded Seattle-based firm that counts Puma, Walmart, Starbucks, Lululemon, and The Atlantic among its clients.
