Finally, it ends. Mac Interiors, the fit-out firm that racked up losses of €27 million, has gone bust after a protracted examinership and a failed eleventh-hour rescue gambit. The High Court appointed Aiden Murphy of Crowe Ireland as liquidator after lawyers for examiner Kieran Wallace confirmed all options of patching together a modified scheme of arrangement for the company had expired. The Newry-based building company had been on thin ice since the High Court last week shot down the scheme originally put forward by Wallace to save the business in the face of objections by Revenue on class composition grounds. …
