Among the new company information available from Irish subsidiaries of the Californian energy drinks multinational Monster Beverage Corporation, one line sticks out. “Subsequent to year-end, the company has commenced a large-scale manufacturing expansion project,” American Fruits and Flavors Ireland reported in a post-balance sheet note to its accounts to the end of 2022. The project is the partial demolition and reconstruction of the group’s drinks manufacturing plant in Athy, Co Kildare. Monster acquired the vacant former Coca-Cola factory in 2019 and placed it under its ingredients supply division American Fruits and Flavors (AFF) after an initial upgrade the following year.…
