Web Summit has been courting Scott Galloway for years. A celebrity tech entrepreneur and marketing professor at New York University, Galloway is a hugely influential online voice and positions himself as a thought leader. Nailing him to give a keynote address on the opening night of Web Summit 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal, would no doubt have taken years of leg work and logistics by the tech conference’s speaker team and a cause for celebration as the event’s programme was being put together.  By his own account, Galloway was looking forward to it too – a few days of meeting entrepreneurs…
