DC Advisory is acquiring IBI, the well-known corporate finance advisory firm based in Dublin. The deal has been worked on for months and is now in the final stages of closing. Tom Godfrey and Ted Webb, the chief executive and managing director of the firm respectively, are set to make a number of millions each from the sale. The full name of DC Advisory is Daiwa Corporate Advisory, reflecting its ownership by Daiwa Securities Group Inc, one of the largest brokerage and financial services groups in Japan.
