A Jersey company linked to beef baron Larry Goodman is to pump an initial €6.05 million into cash-strapped oil and gas explorer Barryroe Offshore Energy, under a proposed rescue scheme for the firm to be approved by the High Court. Examiner Kieran Wallace says he is satisfied the PLC has a reasonable prospect of survival based on a commitment by Lorsden (Jersey) Ltd to further supplement that multi-million investment with “substantial additional funds as required to invest in future approved business plan prospects”.
