Property developer Greg Kavanagh claims a planning appeal has been lodged in bad faith against one of his housing projects in Co Wicklow in a bid to extort money from him. The allegation is contained in court proceedings filed by his company Beakonford Ltd against Oonagh Stokes of Inchanappa House, Ashford, who resides directly beside the proposed development, and Barbara Wilding of Rosanna, Ashford, Co Wicklow. Beakonford is seeking orders invalidating the An Bord Pleanála appeal as an alleged abuse of the planning process. Neither defendant has had an opportunity to contest the allegations in court.
