Launched to much fanfare in 2012 by Bord Bia, the food promotion agency, Origin Green was going to get the Irish agri-food industry producing more with less impact on the natural world and the climate. To get the coveted status, companies must present and submit multi-annual sustainability plans and report annually on how they have reached their targets.
