Orpea Residences Ireland, the largest operator of nursing homes in the country with over 1,500 residents, recorded a €130.4 million loss in 2022 after writing significant value off acquisitions it had made in previous years. Yet new company information shows it is also benefiting from the rescue plan put in place for its parent Orpea SA, which posted a €4 billion loss over the same period at the global level.
