The Hendrons building, where planning notices have again appeared at the top of Dominick Street in Dublin’s north city centre, has a long history of rejected redevelopment applications. In 2008, its owner Eugene Carlyle applied to raze the former industrial showrooms and associated warehouses on the 0.8-acre site to erect a complex anchored by a 14-storey angular glass tower.
