The auditor of Inex, the powerful internet exchange point for the island of Ireland – which was set up 25 years ago to make connections between internet networks work better – has resigned. In a statement filed in the Companies Registration Office, it said it was “unwilling to be reappointed as statutory auditor of the company.” There are 128 members of the Internet Neutral Exchange Association, some of which are among the world’s biggest companies, including Apple, Google, Meta, Netflix, Three and Eir.
