The Irish low-carbon cement manufacturer Ecocem recorded accelerated growth in revenue and profits in 2022 and has since entered a commercial deal with one of the world’s largest construction materials multinationals, new company information shows. Consolidated accounts for the Ecocem group show that it grew revenue by one quarter in 2022. In 2021, the company had raised €22.5 million from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a climate-focused investment fund backed by Bill Gates, but its growth was thwarted by supply chain disruption as the world emerged from the pandemic.
