X3T Broadband, the telecommunications software business led by National Broadband Ireland (NBI)’s chairman David McCourt, has acquired Strategic Imperatives, an English-based company offering similar services in the UK, and made board appointments straddling the subsidised Irish infrastructure company and the merging technology vendors.  X3T Broadband and Strategic Imperatives announced their merger on Tuesday, adding that they would start combining their operations this month “with a vision to make Strategic Imperatives’ Fibre Café platform the dominant solution in the market for Internet service providers (ISPs) to access wholesale fibre networks”.
