A company led by UK comedian John Bishop has been granted a €1.09 million judgment against Irish tech investor Brendan Morrissey and his company BAK Holdings following their default on a settlement agreement last year. Hears Technology, a social enterprise backed by U2’s Larry Mullen among others, had been set up by Bishop and Morrissey to provide hearing tests for the hard of hearing via smartphones. However, the commercial relationship sundered and the company brought a damages lawsuit against Morrissey in 2022.
