CIE rejected a request to extend by 22 months the site lease for Johnny Ronan’s landmark Tara Street hotel during Covid-19 despite claims its refusal would be “devastating” to the project, High Court filings show. The public transport company is currently suing Tanat, a Ronan Group Real Estate (RGRE) company in receivership, for possession of the site, earmarked for the 22-storey AquaVetro Tower.
