The well-known healthy fast-food chain Freshly Chopped has asked the courts to appoint an examiner over financial challenges faced by four of its stores. Just last month, Freshly Chopped Limited entered lighter rescue proceedings through the Small Companies Administrative Rescue Process (Scarp). The process was introduced in 2021 to provide a simplified restructuring mechanism for small companies in financial distress. The four Dublin stores are in Fairview, Liffey Valley, Swords and Baggot Street, the flagship shop that opened in May 2012 to serve up salads prepared by staff with its now-signature curved mezzaluna knives.
