The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has launched High Court proceedings against Phonewatch Ltd and its subsidiary Homescure Ltd, court records show. The CCPC’s in-house lawyers lodged affidavits against the two home security companies, which have yet to respond or name solicitors to represent them in the cases. “These proceedings relate to a statutory process initiated by the CCPC under section 33 of the Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2014.
