Financial advisory firm Orca Financial is to be acquired by international insurer NFP in a deal valued at up to €8.35 million, The Currency understands. Set up in 2004 by John Molloy and Stephen Byrne, Orca has a nine-strong team between its Co Dublin and Portlaoise offices and offers financial planning advice on pensions, investments and tax. The brokerage had turnover of €1.3 million in 2022 and net assets of €159,287, CRO filings show. The profit after tax was €69,569.
