McSorley’s, the landmark pub in Ranelagh, is close to being sold for an estimated €5.5 million to a consortium of former rugby stars and the publican Noel Anderson. Private equity group Attestor Capital is believed to be among the underbidders for the popular pub, which opened in 1991. It is known for being a prime location for watching sport as well as for its food, live music and weekend late opening hours. The pub has gone sale-agreed after long-term owners the Murray family quietly put it on the market in recent months, but the deal has yet to fully close.…
