Ornua’s attempts to dismiss a class action lawsuit in the US over alleged “forever chemicals” in Kerrygold butter have been rebuffed by a judge. The Irish food giant had sought all claims in the lawsuit to be dismissed but a New York judge ordered that some of the claims had standing and rejected Ornua’s motion in part. The case was filed over a year ago by Carolyn Winans, a New York resident, who alleges that she purchased Kerrygold butter that may have been exposed to harmful chemicals.
