Property developer Johnny Ronan has launched a High Court action against a subsidiary of US investment group Fortress, over an alleged debt of €3.3 million. The strike for summary judgment against Isle of Man company Aquela Ltd claims the developer is due money from an insurance award linked to the Ronan group and Fortress’s joint office development, Fibonacci Square in Dublin’s Ballsbridge, leased to tech giant Meta. Aquela now owns Fibonacci following a 2022 deal in which RGRE (the Ronan group) swapped its stake in Fibonacci for Fortress’s stake in the Waterfront South Central development site in the Dublin Docklands.…
