The fate of a project to build one of the country’s largest and most ambitious battery storage facilities, backed by the Allen family, is due to be decided by the local authority in Waterford next week. Regnum Renewables wants permission to build an 800MWh battery energy storage facility on 13 acres of land in the townlands of Glenhouse and Lahardan, 15 kilometres west of Waterford City.
