The co-founder of Northern Ireland’s biggest private hospital group is to become chair of the business following its sale this week to British private equity firm Exponent for an enterprise value of £305 million (€361 million). Malaysian-born Dr Suresh Tharma has lived in Northern Ireland for more than 30 years. Prior to co-founding Kingsbridge, which has four hospitals and 11 clinical facilities, he was a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist.
