The trustees of the Barne Estate approved the sale of the lavish 17th-century property to bloodstock tycoon John Magnier the day after the purported deal was agreed, it has been alleged before the Commercial Court. Lawyers for Magnier claim new evidence of the trustees’ consent emerged in documents exchanged between the parties during the pre-trial discovery process.
