The Department of Defence has paid out €590,000 so far this year to an Israeli weapons manufacturer whose drones are being used directly in Gaza. Newly released purchase data from the department shows that it shelled out this amount for satellite communications services from Aeronautics Defence Systems Ltd. The company has previously sold drones to the department which are used by the Defence Forces for surveillance, intelligence gathering and target identification for peace support operations.
