A recent ruling in a British court has cleared some of the air around the legal footing for companies that moved their European Works Councils to Ireland after Brexit. European Works Councils are consultative bodies for companies in the EU that have more than 1,000 employees in multiple countries. EWCs are not quite unions but provide a common platform for EU-based employees to engage with their employers.
