Cork’s Dornan Engineering Group has been acquired by US firm Turner Construction Company, creating a company with a combined turnover of more than $18 billion. Dornan specialises in mechanical and electrical engineering and instrumentation with particular expertise in data centre and pharmaceutical developments. The deal gives Turner access to Dornan’s customer base in Ireland, the UK, the Nordics and throughout Europe. According to a statement from Turner, Dornan has 1,000 employees that are on track to deliver around €700 million worth of projects this year with a backlog of projects worth €1.1 billion.
