An Irish charity that aims to alleviate poverty in Africa has received €22.7 million in funding from the European Union to invest in climate-friendly start-ups across Zambia. Self Help Africa will provide support to 550 emerging circular economy SMEs over the next four years through both direct funding and technical assistance and training. The circular economy model ensures that materials used throughout a system are re-used and are not eventually wasted.
