OKX, the cryptocurrency exchange, continues to pump millions into its Irish subsidiaries as it rejigs the structure of its European business and centres more operations in Malta. OKX, previously known as OKcoin Europe, set up an initial base in Ireland in 2022. This was at a time when several major cryptocurrency exchanges were establishing EU bases here and many obtained licences from the Central Bank.
