A Dún Laoghaire Harbour Swim, advertised to take place September 7 by the Leinster Open Sea group, and for which it is already selling tickets, does not have permission to run. “No permission has been granted for a Harbour Swim on September 7, 2024,” a spokesperson for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council told The Currency. “The Annual Harbour Swim took place on August 4, 2024.” The council further clarified: “There is only one Annual harbour Swim in Dún Laoghaire, and it has occurred already this year.
