With another budget week behind him, Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform Paschal Donohoe is flying off to Luxembourg to chair the Eurogroup meeting of ministers on Monday. The agenda includes scrutiny of plans from France’s new finance minister Antoine Armand, who has just been picked by Prime Minister Michel Barnier to deliver an austerity budget under the threat of EU sanctions for “excessive deficit”.
