Gayle Killilea has failed to stop decade-old Irish legal proceedings against her by a bankruptcy trustee of her ex-husband, the Celtic tiger developer Sean Dunne. A High Court ruling means the suit, trying to reverse Dunne’s alleged attempt to defeat his creditors by fraudulently transferring assets including the Lagoon Beach Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa to Killilea, will continue.  The former couple have always maintained the transfers occurred in 2008 when Dunne was fully solvent and long before he filed for bankruptcy in Connecticut in March 2013 with debts of €700 million.
