Galway medtech start-up Bluedrop Medical has fended off legal action taken by one of its American competitors and is now preparing a deeper push into the US market. Bluedrop, which develops a device for identifying diabetic foot ulcers, was sued earlier this year by rival Podimetrics. The US company had alleged the Irish company was infringing several of its patents in its device, which monitors a diabetic patient’s foot for ulcers.
