Irish medical equipment manufacturer Medifill has been acquired by a US-listed firm. H.B. Fuller, a $4 billion (€3.8 billion) adhesives company that supplies several industries, has acquired the Medifill business for its speciality in wound care adhesives. Dublin-based Medifill makes CutisSeal, a glue product used in medical settings to close wounds. H.B. Fuller has not disclosed how much it is paying specifically for Medifill. However, the acquisition was announced alongside another deal to buy a related Italian company called GEM, a medical device manufacturer and distributor.
